Black Friday purchases
• 1 pint cherry sweet fire pickles, for the food reviewer at the Commercial Appeal.
• 1 pint pickled asparagus.
• 1 lb Amish jalapeño cheddar summer sausage, which seems to go over well at Christmas parties. Not sure how I feel about relating jalapeño flavor to the Amish.
• 1 pair cheap, stylish casual shoes.
• 3 dress shirts, in the ongoing struggle to update my wardrobe.

Friday was my last official day as a math teacher.
