    Attendance: up. Dropout rates: plummeting. College acceptance: through the roof. My mind-blowing year inside a “low-performing” school.

    Huh. In my year in a “low-performing” school on student was gang-raped on the way home, another was sexually assaulted by a guard, and the highest ACT score was a 22. Maybe I should write an op-ed.
