'We're Not Going to Let Our Campaign Be Dictated by Fact-Checkers' - Politics - The Atlantic
Here’s the deal:
If you vote for someone who is definitively and provably lying to you during the campaign, you are voting to invade a country based on mythological “weapons of mass destruction.”
To have a presidential candidate ON THE RECORD admitting that his campaign doesn’t care about facts is more than disturbing—it is downright terrifying. That nearly 50% of the country will still vote for someone who admits this because it agrees with their fictional view of how the world operates is similarly terrifying—and that I personally know people who value their fantasy world over the facts, who can’t be convinced through reason, makes me fearful for the future of this country.
How do you reason with someone who doesn’t care about reality?
